I hate this town and I hate this motel room. The only reason I gave it a star at all is because it made me.
Mistakes have been made. Listen. This room, which I'm sitting in while writing this, is a bad dream. Small, old, icky. It's like something from a horror movie. The beds are a nightmare- "like sleeping in a latex glove", my sister aptly stated (because of the horrid creaking noise they make every time you move, due to the plastic mattress covers). Uncomfortable and awful. Sleeping on the sidewalk may have been more comfortable. We seriously considered sleeping in the car. The 'bed covers' look like someone had a knife fight on them - full of holes and tears and just ugh. We went to Walmart and bought blankets because we were afraid to use these. The pillows? HA! Literally a case full of lumps.
You've seen the wretched rooms used in shows like Breaking Bad and such? Yea, this place brings those to mind. We were only half joking about Norman Bates showing up at the door.
While spending time with my father in the hospital who is in bad shape my wife and i stayed the first night at comfort in ( which was great) the second night we were very tired wanted something close to the hospital. Went to check in mount aire which was a huge mistake. Got in our room dead bugs all over shower was absolutely disgusting eveeyrhing was old and out dated. We were not happy. I walk to the office and ask for a refund and she said once you leave the office no refund given and they don't show rooms after dark before you pay. This needs to be posted so others dont loose money like we did. My wife called the office and the staff were very rude and said we were being picky and were holding her in the office late and would not give us her boss's name or contact info and then hangs up on my wife. Before we could get to the office she is flying out of the parking lot. Have lots of family on their way down and i can promise you they won't be staying here. If the option of zero stars were available thats what it would get from me. Horrible experience
It's very quiet, very clean. Staff is friendly and hospitable. I would recommend this place to anyone. Stayed with my kids and felt very safe. Large rooms with microwave and fridge. Older place but well kept. No bugs, didn't see one big of any kind and I stayed a week. A/C worked really good. Water pressure was great. Don't have anything bad to say.
Nice quiet place that is currently being updated. We had a nice stay for the price. My only complaint is the workers are smoking in the room as they are working. Our room was so smokey the first night it took my breath and I had to even wash our clean clothes when I got home because they smelled like cigarette smoke. And the beds only had fitted sheet no top sheet. Other than that it was fine
There was an urban myth when I was a kid that bodies were found under one of the beds in this place. It was probably someone who tried to sleep on the beds, decided the floor underneath would be more comfortable, and got stuck.
My sister is curled up in the fetal position still, back aching from the bed and still cursing my name for choosing this pit.
$75 for this nightmare of a room (and no refunds). Had we known, I would have spent the $150 at the Comfort Inn down the road a bit. Friendly staff, sure, but it doesn't make up for the horrible room.
Not even a mini fridge.
Minimal accommodations. Sheets threadbare. No smoking rooms smelled like cigarette smoke.
